Job Summary:

Looking for Microbiology Associate professor doctor to a medical college in Khammam Telangana. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Associate Professor in Microbiology to join our medical college. The candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and administrative duties while fostering a positive learning environment for students. The role also involves contributing to the academic development of the institution.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Academics:
Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Microbiology for undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD) students. Develop and update course curricula to ensure alignment with Medical Council of India (MCI)/National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines. Guide students in thesis and dissertation work, particularly postgraduate students. Conduct internal assessments and contribute to the preparation of examination materials.

Research and Publications:
Lead research initiatives in the field of Medical Microbiology, focusing on clinical and laboratory advancements. Publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at national and international conferences. Mentor students and junior faculty members in research methodology and project development.

Administrative Duties:
Collaborate with the Head of the Department (HOD) for departmental planning and coordination. Participate in institutional committees and accreditation processes. Assist in laboratory management and ensure compliance with bio-safety protocols.

Clinical Engagement:
Provide microbiological insights to hospital teams regarding infectious diseases, diagnostics, and antimicrobial stewardship. Supervise laboratory activities related to diagnostic microbiology.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
MD or equivalent postgraduate degree in Microbiology from a recognized university.

Experience:
A minimum of 5-8 years of teaching and research experience as an Assistant Professor in Microbiology at a recognized medical institution. Evidence of involvement in research and publications as per MCI/NMC norms.

Skills:
Strong knowledge of clinical and applied microbiology. Proficiency in teaching and the use of modern teaching aids. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Familiarity with accreditation and regulatory standards (e.g., MCI/NMC).
