Job Description:
Our College is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Associate Professor in Anesthesia. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals dedicated to excellence in education, research, and patient care.
Responsibilities:
1. Teaching: Deliver high-quality instruction in anesthesia to medical students, residents, and fellows through lectures, seminars, small group discussions, and clinical supervision.
2. Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development, evaluation, and enhancement of the anesthesia curriculum in accordance with the guidelines set by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and other accrediting bodies.
3. Research: Engage in scholarly activities, including conducting original research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting findings at conferences.
4. Clinical Practice: Provide clinical care to patients requiring anesthesia services, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative management, and postoperative care.
5. Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to medical students, residents, and fellows interested in pursuing careers in anesthesia or related fields.
6. Administration: Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other administrative activities as assigned by the department chair or program director.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate with other faculty members, healthcare professionals, and researchers within the institution and beyond to promote interdisciplinary cooperation and advance the field of anesthesia.
8. Continuing Education: Stay abreast of developments in the field of anesthesia through continuing education, professional development activities, and participation in relevant conferences and workshops.
9. Community Engagement: Participate in community outreach programs, health education initiatives, and other activities aimed at promoting public health and raising awareness about anesthesia-related issues.
Qualifications:
1. Medical Degree (MBBS) from a recognized medical school.
2. Postgraduate qualification (MD/DNB) in Anesthesiology.
3. Eligibility for registration with the Telangana Medical Council.
4. Minimum of Four years of teaching experience in an academic medical setting.
5. Demonstrated expertise in clinical anesthesia practice, research, and education.
6. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
7. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
