Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Academic Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and clinical teaching to undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD/DNB) students.
Develop and update curriculum content in line with university and medical council standards.
Supervise postgraduate theses and dissertations.
Mentor and guide students in academic and clinical activities.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Oversee and provide consultations in the pulmonology department, including outpatient and inpatient care.
Perform specialized pulmonary procedures (e.g., bronchoscopy, thoracentesis).
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
Research and Publications:
Lead and participate in clinical and academic research projects.
Publish research findings in national and international peer-reviewed journals.
Present at conferences, workshops, and academic forums.
Administrative Duties:
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy development.
Assist in organizing academic events such as workshops, CMEs, and conferences.
Contribute to accreditation, inspections, and other institutional reviews.
Continuing Education and Professional Development:
Stay updated with advancements in pulmonology and respiratory medicine.
Pursue professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Skills
Educational Requirements:
MBBS with MD/DNB in Pulmonary Medicine/Respiratory Medicine.
A minimum of 4 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in a recognized institution.
Experience:
Demonstrated clinical expertise in pulmonology and respiratory medicine.
Experience in academic teaching, research, and clinical care.
Skills:
