We are seeking a qualified and dedicated individual to join our esteemed medical college as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics. The selected candidate will be responsible for academic teaching, clinical duties, and research activities within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching:
Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical classes for undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MS/MD) students.
Guide students in clinical case discussions, ward rounds, and surgeries.
Prepare and evaluate academic materials, assignments, and examinations.
Clinical Duties:
Provide consultation and treatment to patients in the orthopedic outpatient and inpatient departments.
Supervise and assist in surgeries and clinical procedures.
Participate in departmental on-call duties and emergency care.
Research:
Engage in research activities to contribute to academic excellence and publication of research papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Guide postgraduate students in their thesis and dissertation projects.
Administrative:
Participate in departmental and institutional meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
Assist in organizing Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs and workshops.
Professional Development:
Stay updated on advancements in orthopedic medicine and incorporate them into teaching and clinical practice.
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
MBBS with MS/MD in Orthopedics from a recognized institution.
Registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council is mandatory.
Experience:
Minimum 1-5 years of teaching experience as Senior Resident or equivalent in a recognized teaching institution (as per NMC/MCI norms).
Skills:
Strong clinical and surgical acumen in orthopedics.
Excellent communication and teaching skills.
Ability to mentor and guide students effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Published research in indexed journals.
Participation in conferences, workshops, and seminars.
Experience in handling advanced orthopedic procedures.
Compensation:
As per UGC/Medical College norms or commensurate with experience and qualifications.
