Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Surgeon Consultant to join our team at a hospital in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. As a Cardiac Surgeon Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert surgical care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. This role involves performing a wide range of cardiac surgical procedures, including but not limited to coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair/replacement, congenital heart defect repair, and heart transplantation.

Responsibilities:
Perform complex cardiac surgical procedures with precision and expertise. Evaluate patients' medical histories and diagnostic test results to determine the most appropriate surgical approach. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in pre-operative consultations to discuss treatment options, risks, and expected outcomes with patients and their families. Provide post-operative care and follow-up to monitor patients' recovery and address any complications. Stay abreast of advancements in cardiac surgery techniques, technologies, and treatments through continuing medical education and professional development. Contribute to research initiatives and clinical trials aimed at improving cardiac surgical outcomes and patient care. Mentor and supervise junior medical staff, including surgical residents and fellows, to foster their professional development and skill acquisition.

Requirements:
Medical degree from a recognized institution.
Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Fellowship training in cardiac surgery from an accredited program.
Valid medical license to practice in India.
Demonstrated experience in performing a wide range of cardiac surgical procedures independently.
Excellent surgical skills and hand-eye coordination.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Fluency in English and proficiency in Malayalam preferred.
