We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Professor in Pulmonology to join our esteemed institution's Department of Pulmonology. The candidate will contribute to academic, clinical, and research excellence while shaping the next generation of medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Academics:
Deliver lectures, seminars, and clinical demonstrations for undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD/DNB) students.
Supervise and mentor students in their academic and clinical work, including thesis and research projects.
Develop and update course curricula in line with the latest developments in Pulmonology and medical education guidelines.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide patient care in outpatient and inpatient settings, including intensive respiratory care.
Perform and guide diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as bronchoscopy, thoracoscopy, and pulmonary function tests.
Participate in hospital rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary meetings.
Research:
Conduct and publish high-quality research in national and international journals.
Guide students and residents in conducting research projects and clinical trials.
Contribute to grant applications and collaborations with national/international research bodies.
Administrative Duties:
Assist in departmental activities, including curriculum planning, faculty meetings, and organizing workshops and conferences.
Ensure compliance with Medical Council of India (MCI)/National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines.
Professional Development:
Stay updated with advancements in the field through continuous professional development and participation in conferences and workshops.
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualifications:
MBBS and MD/DNB in Pulmonary Medicine/Respiratory Medicine from a recognized institution.
Registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or National Medical Commission (NMC).
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience as a Senior Resident or equivalent in a recognized medical institution.
Preference will be given to candidates with additional experience in teaching, research, or specialized clinical expertise.
Skills:
Strong academic and clinical knowledge in Pulmonology.
Excellent communication and teaching skills.
Proficiency in conducting advanced pulmonary procedures and managing critical respiratory cases.
