Responsibilities:
Teaching:
Conducting lectures, seminars, and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in anesthesia.
Developing and updating curriculum content to ensure alignment with current medical practices and educational standards.
Providing guidance and mentorship to students pursuing research or clinical projects in anesthesia.
Clinical Duties:
Providing anesthesia services for patients undergoing surgical procedures, as well as for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
Supervising and training residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals in anesthesia techniques and patient care.
Collaborating with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and safety.
Research:
Initiating and participating in research projects related to anesthesia, including clinical trials, outcomes research, and basic science investigations.
Securing funding through grants and other sources to support research endeavors.
Publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at conferences and symposiums.
Administrative Duties:
Participating in departmental meetings, committees, and administrative activities as required.
Contributing to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
Engaging in professional development activities to stay abreast of advancements in the field of anesthesia.
Requirements:
Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution.
Postgraduate qualification (MD/DNB) in Anesthesia.
Teaching experience in a medical college or university setting, with a focus on anesthesia education.
Clinical experience in providing anesthesia services in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Demonstrated track record of research productivity, including publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or state medical council.
