Job Summary:

Urgent Requirement Psychiatry Associate Professor doctor to a medical college in Coimbatore Tamil Nadu. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Professor in Psychiatry to join our esteemed institution. The candidate will be responsible for academic, clinical, and research contributions in the Department of Psychiatry.

Key Responsibilities
Academic Responsibilities:
Deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials to undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD/MS/DNB) students. Develop and update curriculum, teaching plans, and examination modules in line with regulatory requirements. Guide and mentor students in research projects, dissertations, and clinical training.

Clinical Responsibilities:
Oversee clinical psychiatric services, including outpatient and inpatient care. Supervise postgraduate residents, interns, and junior faculty in clinical settings. Ensure adherence to ethical standards in patient care and clinical research.

Research and Development:
Conduct high-quality research in Psychiatry, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the academic profile of the institution. Apply for research grants and foster interdisciplinary collaborations.

Administrative Duties:
Participate in departmental meetings, quality audits, and policy-making processes. Assist in organizing academic events such as CMEs, workshops, and conferences.

Qualifications & Experience
Educational Requirements:
MBBS and MD/DNB in Psychiatry (or equivalent). Registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry, as per NMC guidelines. Demonstrated involvement in research with publications in indexed journals (preferably in Psychiatry or related fields).

Skills and Competencies:
Excellent teaching and communication skills. Strong clinical acumen and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in research methodologies and statistical analysis. Leadership and interpersonal skills to guide students and work collaboratively with colleagues.
