We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Professor of Pharmacology to join our esteemed faculty at Medical College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and mentorship, contributing to the academic excellence and professional development of medical students.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Curriculum Development:
Deliver lectures, conduct practicals, and facilitate discussions in pharmacology for undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD) students.
Develop and update course content, syllabus, and learning materials as per the guidelines of the National Medical Commission (NMC).
Use innovative teaching methodologies and modern technology to enhance student learning.
Research & Publications:
Conduct and supervise high-quality research in pharmacology.
Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
Seek research grants and funding for departmental projects.
Student Mentorship & Assessment:
Guide and mentor students in academic and research activities.
Evaluate student performance through internal assessments and examinations.
Administrative Duties:
Participate in departmental meetings and activities.
Assist in organizing CME (Continuing Medical Education) programs, workshops, and conferences.
Support institutional goals by contributing to policy development and academic planning.
Professional Development:
Stay updated with advancements in pharmacology and medical education trends.
Engage in continuous professional development and attend relevant training programs.
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Requirements:
MBBS and MD (Pharmacology) from a recognized university.
Additional qualifications like Ph.D. in Pharmacology will be an advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 8-10 years of teaching experience, with at least 4-5 years as an Associate Professor in Pharmacology.
Evidence of significant research contributions and publications in indexed journals.
