Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities
Academic Duties
Teaching: Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and practical demonstrations for MBBS, MD, and other allied health science courses.
Curriculum Development: Design and update the emergency medicine curriculum in alignment with the Medical Council of India (MCI/NMC) guidelines.
Student Mentorship: Guide students in clinical training, research projects, and career development.
Examinations: Prepare and evaluate academic assessments and participate in internal and external examinations.
Clinical Responsibilities
Patient Care: Provide expert consultation and care in the Emergency Medicine Department.
Training: Oversee clinical training for residents, ensuring they develop competency in emergency procedures and protocols.
Department Management: Collaborate with hospital administrators to optimize the functioning of the emergency department.
Research
Publications: Conduct research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
Grants: Apply for research funding and manage projects.
Workshops & Conferences: Organize and participate in conferences, workshops, and CME programs.
Administrative Duties
Lead departmental meetings and activities.
Assist in faculty recruitment and performance evaluation.
Maintain compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Educational:
MD/DNB in Emergency Medicine or an equivalent specialty recognized by the NMC (National Medical Commission).
A valid registration with the State Medical Council or MCI/NMC.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years as an Associate Professor or equivalent role in a recognized medical institution.
A proven track record in teaching, research, and clinical excellence.
Skills:
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Proficiency in emergency medical procedures and protocols.
Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
