Job Description:
Administering anesthesia to patients undergoing cardiac surgeries, such as bypass surgeries, valve replacements, and heart transplants. Monitoring patients closely throughout the surgical procedure to ensure adequate anesthesia depth and vital signs stability. Collaborating with the surgical team, including cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, and nurses, to optimize patient outcomes. Managing intraoperative hemodynamics, including fluid management and vasopressor administration, to maintain cardiovascular stability. Providing postoperative care in the cardiac surgical intensive care unit (CSICU) or recovery room, managing pain and ensuring smooth recovery. Participating in multidisciplinary rounds and conferences to discuss patient care plans and outcomes. Participating in cardiac arrest and emergency response teams to manage critical situations effectively. Ensuring adherence to hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in anesthesia practice.
