Job Summary:

We invite application for the post of General surgeon Senior Resident to a reputed medical college in Pathanamthitta. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Senior Resident in General Surgery to join our esteemed medical college. The role involves active participation in patient care, academic teaching, research activities, and departmental responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care. Assist in and independently perform surgical procedures under the supervision of senior faculty. Handle emergencies in the department, including trauma cases.

Teaching:
Supervise and guide undergraduate and postgraduate students during clinical rounds and academic sessions. Conduct tutorials, lectures, and case discussions as per the curriculum.

Research & Academic Activities:
Participate in departmental research projects and encourage student involvement. Present papers and case studies in conferences or journal clubs.

Administrative Duties:
Assist in the maintenance of clinical records and ensure adherence to hospital protocols. Contribute to audits and quality improvement initiatives in the department.

Eligibility Criteria:
Qualification:
MBBS with MS/DNB in General Surgery from a recognized institution. Registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council.

Experience:
Relevant experience in a teaching hospital or medical college is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills and Competencies:
Proficient in general surgical procedures and emergency management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient care and teaching. Commitment to academic excellence and continuous learning.
