Job Summary:

Wanted Psychiatry Assistant Professor doctor to a reputed medical college in Palakkad kerala. We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Assistant Professor of Psychiatry to join our esteemed medical college. The role involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, conducting research, and providing clinical care. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to education, a passion for psychiatry, and the ability to contribute to the academic and clinical growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Academic Duties:
Conduct lectures, seminars, and clinical training sessions for MBBS and postgraduate students. Supervise clinical rotations and provide mentorship to students and junior faculty. Develop and update teaching materials and curriculum in line with the Medical Council of India (MCI)/National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines.

Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide outpatient and inpatient psychiatric care, including psychotherapy and pharmacological management. Supervise and collaborate with residents, interns, and other healthcare staff. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure adherence to ethical and legal standards in patient care.

Research & Publications:
Initiate, guide, and participate in clinical and academic research activities. Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at national and international conferences.

Administrative Tasks:
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy development and quality improvement initiatives. Assist in organizing Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, workshops, and community outreach activities.

Qualifications:
Educational: MD/DNB in Psychiatry from a recognized institution.

Experience:
Minimum of 3 years as Senior Resident in Psychiatry (preferred). Teaching experience in a recognized medical college is an advantage. Registration: Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for teaching and mentoring students. Commitment to research and evidence-based psychiatric practice. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
