We have a job opening for Ophthalmology Consultant doctor for a hospital in Palakkad kerala. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ophthalmology Consultant to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will provide expert care in diagnosing, treating, and managing a range of ophthalmic conditions. This role requires a compassionate professional committed to delivering quality patient care and advancing the field of ophthalmology through education and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat various eye diseases, injuries, and disorders, including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and more. Perform specialized ophthalmic surgeries and procedures as per patient requirements. Prescribe medications, corrective lenses, and treatment plans for patients. Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including detailed eye examinations. Interpret diagnostic tests such as OCT, visual field tests, and ultrasounds. Provide guidance and supervision to junior doctors, medical staff, and trainees. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Stay updated on the latest advancements in ophthalmology and implement evidence-based practices. Participate in hospital-based initiatives such as patient education programs, outreach camps, and awareness drives. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols and medical standards.

Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Qualification: MBBS with MD/MS/DNB in Ophthalmology from a recognized institution. Experience: Minimum 5 to 20 years of experience as an ophthalmologist, with expertise in clinical and surgical ophthalmology. Proficiency in performing advanced ophthalmic surgeries such as phacoemulsification and LASIK (preferred). Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to ethical medical practice and patient confidentiality.
