Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities
Academic Duties
Assist in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, including conducting lectures, practical demonstrations, and tutorials.
Participate in departmental research activities and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
Guide and mentor students in their academic projects and case presentations.
Clinical & Medico-Legal Duties
Conduct medico-legal autopsies and prepare detailed post-mortem reports.
Assist in forensic case evaluations, including injury reports, age estimation, and other medico-legal examinations.
Provide expert medico-legal opinions and coordinate with legal authorities as required.
Attend court proceedings to present medico-legal evidence as an expert witness, if needed.
Administrative Responsibilities
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of medico-legal cases and maintain records per legal requirements.
Participate in departmental meetings, academic audits, and quality assurance programs.
Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the department.
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Qualification: MBBS and MD in Forensic Medicine from an institution recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
Experience: Completion of residency in Forensic Medicine or equivalent experience.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of forensic and medico-legal practices.
Excellent teaching, research, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in medico-legal documentation and legal procedures.
Ability to work collaboratively with law enforcement, judiciary, and hospital staff.
