Key Responsibilities:
Academic Duties:
Deliver high-quality lectures and practical demonstrations in Forensic Medicine to undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD) students. Supervise and guide students in their academic projects, dissertations, and research activities. Develop and update curriculum in line with the guidelines of the National Medical Commission (NMC) and other relevant authorities. Conduct regular assessments, examinations, and evaluations.

Research Contributions:
Engage in active research and contribute to publications in reputed journals. Collaborate on interdisciplinary research projects within the medical college. Organize and participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences.

Clinical and Legal Expertise:
Provide medico-legal consultation and assist with forensic case analyses. Supervise and guide the handling of post-mortem examinations and medico-legal cases. Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards in forensic practices.

Administrative Roles:
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning. Mentor junior faculty and residents in teaching and research activities. Contribute to accreditation processes and quality assurance initiatives.

Community Engagement:
Conduct public awareness programs on forensic medicine and medico-legal issues. Liaise with legal and law enforcement agencies when necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:
Educational Requirements: MD in Forensic Medicine (or equivalent qualification recognized by NMC).

Experience:
Minimum 7 to 20 years of teaching experience as per NMC norms.
Evidence of research publications in indexed journals.
Clinical experience in forensic casework is desirable.
