Job Description: The anesthesia consultant will be responsible for providing anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the hospital. This includes pre-operative assessment, administration of anesthesia, monitoring patients during surgery, and post-operative care. Key Responsibilities: 1. Conduct pre-operative evaluations of patients to assess their medical history, current health status, and any potential risks associated with anesthesia. 2. Develop individualized anesthesia plans based on patient needs and surgical requirements. 3. Administer anesthesia using various techniques such as general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and local anesthesia. 4. Monitor patients closely during surgery, adjusting anesthesia levels as necessary to ensure their safety and comfort. 5. Manage any complications or adverse reactions that may arise during anesthesia administration. 6. Provide post-operative care to patients, including pain management and monitoring for any post-anesthesia side effects. 7. Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. 8. Participate in departmental meetings, continuing education programs, and quality improvement initiatives. 9. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of anesthesia care provided to patients. 10. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times. Qualifications: 1. Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution. 2. Postgraduate degree (MD/DNB) in Anesthesiology. 3. Valid medical license to practice in Kerala. 4. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as an anesthesia consultant in a hospital setting. 5. Proficiency in administering various anesthesia techniques and managing anesthesia-related complications. 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. 8. Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
