Hiring Microbiology Senior resident for a medical college in Vijayapura Karnataka. The Senior Resident in Microbiology will contribute to teaching, diagnostics, and research activities within the department. The role includes managing clinical microbiology laboratory operations, mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students, and actively participating in academic and hospital-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Mentoring
Assist in teaching and training MBBS and postgraduate students in microbiology. Conduct and supervise practical sessions, case discussions, and seminars. Guide postgraduate students in thesis and research projects.

Clinical and Diagnostic Work
Oversee and perform diagnostic laboratory procedures, including bacteriology, virology, mycology, parasitology, and immunology. Ensure the quality and accuracy of diagnostic tests. Participate in hospital infection control activities, including outbreak investigations and audits.

Research and Development
Undertake research projects relevant to clinical microbiology and public health. Publish findings in reputable medical journals and present at conferences. Stay updated with the latest developments in the field of microbiology.

Administrative Duties
Assist in managing the microbiology laboratory, including inventory and quality control. Collaborate with faculty and staff for smooth departmental functioning.

Hospital and Community Support
Participate in hospital rounds and provide microbiological consultation for patient care. Support initiatives in community health and infection prevention programs.

Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Qualifications: MD/DNB in Microbiology from a recognized institution. Experience: At least one year of post-MD/DNB experience (preferred).

Skills:
Strong diagnostic and analytical skills. Effective communication and teaching abilities. Proficiency in laboratory techniques and infection control practices. Research-oriented mindset with a willingness to publish work.
