We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Associate Professor of Ophthalmology to join our esteemed medical college. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education, conducting research, and providing clinical expertise in the field of ophthalmology.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Duties:
Teach undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD/MS) students.
Develop and deliver lectures, clinical demonstrations, and interactive sessions.
Guide and mentor students in clinical skills and research projects.
Clinical Duties:
Supervise and manage the ophthalmology department's clinical services.
Participate in patient care, including outpatient, inpatient, and surgical services.
Research and Publications:
Engage in academic research, secure funding, and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
Present research at national and international conferences.
Administrative Duties:
Assist in departmental planning, curriculum design, and program evaluation.
Participate in institutional committees and accreditation processes.
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
MBBS with MD/MS in Ophthalmology from an MCI/NMC-recognized institution.
Additional fellowships or certifications in specialized areas of ophthalmology are desirable.
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology at a recognized institution.
Proven academic record with publications in indexed journals as per NMC/MCI guidelines.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in teaching methodologies and clinical supervision.
Expertise in surgical and diagnostic ophthalmology practices.
