Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Academic Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality lectures, demonstrations, and practical training to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
Develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies and curricula.
Supervise clinical rotations, research projects, and thesis work of students.
Clinical Duties:
Provide surgical expertise and patient care in the college's affiliated teaching hospital.
Perform general surgeries, oversee patient management, and guide junior faculty and students during clinical rounds.
Participate in multidisciplinary teams for advanced surgical cases.
Research and Publications:
Conduct and supervise clinical research in general surgery and related specialties.
Publish papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
Seek research grants and contribute to institutional research initiatives.
Administrative Duties:
Serve on academic and administrative committees as required.
Mentor junior faculty and contribute to the professional development of the surgical department.
Assist in organizing medical conferences, workshops, and continuous medical education (CME) programs.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure the department complies with the Medical Council of India (MCI)/National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines.
Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and education.
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: MBBS and MS/MD in General Surgery from a recognized institution.
Experience:
Minimum of 4-7 years as an Associate Professor in General Surgery in a recognized medical college.
A strong record of teaching, research, and clinical expertise.
Publications: At least 4-5 publications in indexed national or international journals as per NMC/MCI guidelines.
