Key Responsibilities
Academic Duties:
Assist in teaching and mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
Conduct practical demonstrations, seminars, and tutorials in biochemistry.
Prepare and deliver lectures on core topics in clinical and basic biochemistry.
Clinical Services:
Supervise and manage laboratory operations, including quality control and timely reporting of results.
Interpret and review biochemistry test results for clinical correlations.
Ensure compliance with medical standards in handling patient samples and laboratory safety protocols.
Research and Development:
Engage in departmental research projects and encourage collaborative studies.
Assist in writing research papers and presenting findings at conferences and symposia.
Explore advancements in biochemistry diagnostics and promote innovation.
Administrative Duties:
Support the Head of the Department in organizing academic events, workshops, and conferences.
Maintain accurate documentation of laboratory processes and academic records.
Coordinate with other clinical departments for interdisciplinary teaching and research activities.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
MBBS with MD in Biochemistry from a recognized institution.
Registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council.
