Job Summary:

Job opportunity for General Medicine Senior resident doctor to a medical college in Bengaluru. The Senior Resident in General Medicine will be responsible for managing inpatient and outpatient care, teaching medical students and junior residents, and contributing to academic and clinical research in the department. This role requires a commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
Provide comprehensive care to patients admitted to the general medicine ward, ICU, and emergency department. Conduct regular ward rounds, monitor patient progress, and ensure proper documentation. Supervise and guide junior residents and interns in clinical management. Attend to outpatient clinics as per the departmental schedule.

Teaching and Academic Activities:
Assist in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical students during lectures, practical sessions, and clinical rotations. Participate in case discussions, journal clubs, and departmental teaching programs. Deliver seminars and presentations as per the academic curriculum.

Research and Publications:
Contribute to ongoing research projects in the department. Engage in academic writing, including research papers, case reports, and reviews. Stay updated with advancements in general medicine and incorporate evidence-based practices.

Administrative Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining patient records and departmental data for audits and academic purposes. Participate in departmental meetings and policy-making discussions.

Other Duties:
Be on-call as per the duty roster to handle emergencies. Ensure adherence to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of work. Collaborate with other departments for multidisciplinary patient care.

Qualifications and Experience:
Educational Requirements: MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine from a recognized institution. Experience: Prior experience as a resident doctor or equivalent role is preferred. Registration: Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council.

Skills and Competencies:
Strong clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills in general medicine. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient care and teaching. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and handle high-pressure situations. Commitment to continuous learning and academic growth.
