Job Description:
Surgical Procedures: Perform a variety of cardiac surgical procedures including but not limited to coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair/replacement, congenital heart defect repairs, and heart transplants. Patient Care: Provide comprehensive care to cardiac surgery patients, including pre-operative evaluation, surgical intervention, and post-operative management. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the cardiac surgery team, including anesthesiologists, nurses, perfusionists, and other specialists, to ensure the highest quality of patient care. Clinical Consultations: Provide consultations to patients referred for cardiac surgery, discussing treatment options, risks, and expected outcomes. Education and Training: Participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows, sharing expertise in cardiac surgery techniques and patient management. Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the cardiac surgery department, including participating in morbidity and mortality conferences and implementing best practices. Research: Engage in clinical research activities, including designing and conducting studies related to cardiac surgery outcomes, new techniques, and technologies. Continuing Education: Stay updated with the latest advancements in cardiac surgery by attending conferences, workshops, and continuing medical education programs. Community Outreach: Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about cardiac health, prevention, and treatment options. Qualifications: Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution. Completion of residency training in cardiac surgery. Board certification or eligibility in cardiac surgery. Valid medical license to practice in Karnataka. Demonstrated experience and expertise in performing a wide range of cardiac surgical procedures. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and maintaining high clinical standards.
