Job Summary
A tertiary care hospital in Darjeeling with a dedicated stroke unit and comprehensive neurological services seeks a qualified Neurologist to lead clinical neurology services.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, MS, and neuromuscular disorders
- Interpret EEG, EMG, NCV, and neuroimaging reports
- Lead thrombolysis and mechanical thrombectomy decisions in the stroke team
- Manage patients in the neurology ICU and step-down unit
- Conduct neurology OPD and specialist clinics (epilepsy, memory, movement)
- Teach and guide junior medical staff in clinical neurology
Qualifications & Requirements
- DM / DNB in Neurology
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification clinical experience
- Experience in stroke care and neuro-critical care preferred
- Valid medical registration
