Responsibilities:
Teaching:
Deliver lectures, conduct practical sessions, and provide clinical supervision to undergraduate and postgraduate students pursuing gynecology and obstetrics.
Curriculum Development:
Assist in developing and updating the gynecology curriculum to ensure it meets current educational standards and healthcare practices.
Research:
Conduct and publish research in gynecology and related fields. Collaborate with colleagues and students on research projects, mentor student research initiatives, and participate in research conferences and seminars.
Clinical Duties:
Provide patient care services in gynecology and obstetrics, including outpatient clinics, inpatient care, and surgical procedures. Stay updated with the latest advancements in gynecological practices.
Student Guidance:
Advise and guide students regarding career development, research opportunities, and academic progress. Provide mentoring and support to help students achieve their educational goals.
Committee Participation:
Actively contribute to departmental meetings, committees, and other administrative tasks related to the functioning of the medical college.
Continuing Education:
Engage in ongoing professional development by attending conferences, workshops, and training sessions to stay abreast of the latest developments in gynecology and medical education.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with other faculty members, medical professionals, and researchers to promote interdisciplinary initiatives and enhance the overall academic environment of the institution.
Qualifications:
Medical Degree:
A recognized MBBS degree and completion of postgraduate specialization (MD/MS/DNB) in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Teaching Experience:
Prior experience in teaching gynecology and obstetrics to undergraduate and/or postgraduate medical students is preferred.
Experience in guiding research projects and publishing research papers is an added advantage.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively interact with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Leadership Abilities:
Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to mentor and guide students, supervise research activities, and collaborate with colleagues.
