We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join our medical college as a Professor in the Department of Community Medicine. Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Mentorship
Deliver high-quality lectures, practical sessions, and case-based teaching to undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD) students.
Guide and mentor students in their academic and research endeavors.
Develop and update the curriculum as per National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines.
Research and Publication
Conduct independent and collaborative research in the field of community medicine/public health.
Publish research findings in reputed national and international journals.
Facilitate research opportunities for students and junior faculty members.
Community Health Activities
Lead and participate in community health initiatives, outreach programs, and health camps.
Provide expertise in planning, monitoring, and evaluating community health projects.
Administrative Duties
Participate in departmental and institutional meetings, committees, and quality improvement initiatives.
Assist in accreditation processes and compliance with NMC regulations.
Professional Development
Stay updated with advancements in the field of community medicine.
Attend and present at conferences, workshops, and seminars.
Qualification and Experience
Essential:
MD in Community Medicine/Social & Preventive Medicine from a recognized institution.
Minimum 10 years of teaching and research experience in a medical college, with at least 4 years as an Associate Professor (as per NMC norms).
Desirable:
Demonstrated experience in research, publication, and community health initiatives.
Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies, including technology-assisted learning.
Skills and Attributes
