We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our esteemed faculty as an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Medicine. The candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and service activities in the department, fostering a vibrant learning environment for medical students.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching:
Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Community Medicine for undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD) students.
Supervise and mentor students during fieldwork, research projects, and community outreach programs.
Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and teaching strategies in line with the latest MCI/NMC guidelines.
2. Research:
Initiate and guide research projects in Community Medicine and Public Health.
Publish high-quality research papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Collaborate with other departments, healthcare organizations, and government bodies for research and policy development.
3. Administrative Duties:
Assist in curriculum planning and departmental academic activities.
Coordinate community health programs, workshops, and training sessions.
Contribute to quality assurance and accreditation processes within the department.
4. Service Activities:
Provide leadership in community-based health initiatives and health education programs.
Engage with local communities to promote preventive healthcare measures.
Qualifications and Requirements
Educational Qualifications: MD (Doctor of Medicine) in Community Medicine or Preventive and Social Medicine, recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI)/National Medical Commission (NMC).
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of teaching and research experience as an Assistant Professor in Community Medicine in an MCI/NMC-recognized medical college.
Proven track record of research publications and active participation in community health projects.
Skills:
Excellent communication and teaching skills.
Proficiency in planning and executing community health programs.
Strong commitment to academic and research excellence.
Desirable Attributes
Experience in supervising postgraduate dissertations.
