Job Summary
A medical college in Pondicherry seeks an Associate Professor in Anesthesia with proven academic credentials and clinical expertise to mentor postgraduate students and contribute to research activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and assess MBBS and MD Anesthesia postgraduate students
- Provide anesthesia for complex surgical procedures independently
- Lead departmental academic activities including journal clubs and grand rounds
- Guide postgraduate dissertations and thesis work
- Participate in curriculum design, examination setting, and evaluation
Qualifications & Requirements
- MD / DNB in Anesthesiology
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience with at least 2 years in a teaching institution
- Publications in peer-reviewed indexed journals required
- Fulfils NMC eligibility norms for Associate Professor
