Job Summary

A tertiary cardiac care hospital in Karaikal seeks a skilled Cardiac Anesthesia Specialist to manage anesthesia for open-heart surgeries, minimally invasive cardiac procedures, and catheterisation lab interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for CABG, valve repair/replacement, and congenital heart procedures
• Perform Trans-Oesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) for intra-operative monitoring
• Manage cardiopulmonary bypass in coordination with perfusionists
• Oversee haemodynamic optimisation in the cardiac ICU post-operatively
• Conduct pre-operative cardiac risk assessment for high-risk patients
• Train and supervise cardiac anesthesia residents

Qualifications & Requirements

• MD / DNB in Anesthesia with fellowship or subspecialty training in Cardiac Anesthesia
• Proficiency in TEE and invasive haemodynamic monitoring
• At least 5 years experience in a cardiac surgical centre
• Valid medical registration
