We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Professor in Forensic Medicine to join our prestigious medical college. The ideal candidate will contribute to academic excellence, student mentoring, and research while maintaining high ethical and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Academics:
Conduct lectures, practical sessions, and seminars in Forensic Medicine for undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD) students.
Develop and update course curriculum, lesson plans, and assessment methods in alignment with regulatory guidelines.
Supervise students' academic progress and provide mentorship.
Research and Publications:
Initiate and guide research projects in Forensic Medicine and allied fields.
Publish research articles in reputed national and international journals.
Encourage and assist students in research initiatives.
Administrative Duties:
Participate in departmental activities, including academic planning, examinations, and committee assignments.
Ensure compliance with the rules and regulations of the Medical Council of India (MCI) / National Medical Commission (NMC).
Clinical Work:
Provide expert medico-legal opinions and guidance on cases referred by authorities.
Participate in forensic autopsies, age estimations, and other medico-legal responsibilities as required.
Continuing Education:
Stay updated with the latest advancements in Forensic Medicine.
Organize and participate in workshops, conferences, and continuing medical education (CME) programs.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: MD in Forensic Medicine from a recognized institution.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in Forensic Medicine after obtaining postgraduate qualifications, with at least 2 years as an Assistant Professor in a recognized medical college.
Age Limit: As per institutional and regulatory norms.
Skills and Competencies
Strong academic and research background in Forensic Medicine.
Excellent teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical and decision-making capabilities, especially in medico-legal cases.
Proficiency in English and local language (preferred).
