Key Responsibilities:
Medical College is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Assistant Professor in Physiology. The successful candidate will join our dynamic team of educators and researchers dedicated to excellence in medical education and scholarly activity.
Responsibilities:
Teaching: Deliver lectures, conduct practical sessions, and lead small group discussions for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development, review, and enhancement of the physiology curriculum to ensure it aligns with current medical education standards and practices.
Research: Engage in scholarly research activities, pursue external funding opportunities, and publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
Mentorship: Provide academic and research mentorship to medical students, residents, and junior faculty members.
Service: Participate in departmental and institutional committees, contribute to academic governance, and engage in community outreach activities as appropriate.
Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of developments in the field of physiology and medical education through participation in conferences, workshops, and continuing education programs.
Qualifications:
Education: A doctoral degree ( MD ) in Physiology or a related field from a recognized institution.
Experience: Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate or postgraduate level is preferred. Research experience and a record of scholarly publications are highly desirable.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, proficiency in English (written and verbal), and familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technologies.
