We invite application for the post of Ophthalmologist to a reputed hospitals in Adoni.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ophthalmologist to join our reputed hospital. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various eye and vision-related conditions through medical, surgical, and therapeutic procedures. The role requires strong clinical expertise, precision, advanced diagnostic skills, and compassionate patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and vision disorders including cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, corneal disorders, refractive errors, uveitis, retinal detachment, and paediatric eye conditions.
• Perform comprehensive eye examinations, vision tests, and refraction assessments.
• Conduct cataract, LASIK, corneal, and retina surgeries (if trained and experienced).
• Interpret diagnostic tests such as OCT, FFA, Perimetry, B-Scan, and Pachymetry.
• Provide treatment plans, counselling patients and families regarding procedures and postoperative care.
• Work collaboratively with optometrists, nursing teams, and other specialists for coordinated care.
• Handle emergency ophthalmic cases including trauma and infections.
• Maintain proper documentation, patient records, and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
• Participate in academic programs, training, research, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• MBBS with MS / DNB / DOMS in Ophthalmology from a recognized institution.
• Valid medical registration and license to practice.
• Experience in OPD and IPD-based clinical management.
• Proficiency in cataract and other major eye surgeries is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a patient-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
