Job Summary:
The Senior Resident in the Department of General Surgery will be responsible for providing high-quality surgical care to patients, participating in teaching and training programs, and contributing to research activities within the department. This role requires a strong commitment to clinical excellence, education, and research.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
Perform surgeries under the supervision of senior faculty.
Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients.
Conduct daily rounds and manage inpatient care.
Participate in outpatient clinics and provide consultations.
Educational Duties:
Assist in the training and supervision of junior residents and medical students.
Conduct and participate in departmental teaching sessions, seminars, and case discussions.
Prepare and deliver lectures as part of the medical college’s curriculum.
Research Activities:
Engage in clinical research projects and contribute to publications.
Assist in the preparation of research proposals and grant applications.
Present research findings at conferences and seminars.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to administrative tasks.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and medical regulations.
Qualifications:
MBBS and MS/DNB in General Surgery from a recognized institution.
Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or relevant State Medical Council.
Prior experience as a resident in a reputed hospital or medical college is preferred.
