Job Summary:
The Senior Resident in General Medicine will provide high-quality medical care to patients, assist in the management of the General Medicine department, and support medical education and research activities. The role involves a blend of clinical duties, teaching responsibilities, and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
Provide comprehensive medical care to inpatients and outpatients. Conduct thorough patient examinations, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans. Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary. Respond to medical emergencies and provide urgent care. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Teaching and Mentoring:
Assist in the training and supervision of junior residents, interns, and medical students. Conduct clinical teaching sessions, case discussions, and bedside teaching. Participate in the development of the academic curriculum and examination processes. Contribute to continuing medical education (CME) activities.

Research and Development:
Engage in clinical research projects and contribute to scientific publications. Stay updated with the latest advancements in General Medicine and integrate them into practice. Encourage and mentor students and junior staff in research activities.

Administrative Responsibilities:
Assist in the management and administration of the General Medicine department. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy development. Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.

Qualifications:
Education: MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine from a recognized institution. Experience: 0 to 1 year of experience in General Medicine, with at least 1 year as a Junior Resident.

Skills:
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Effective teaching and mentoring skills. Proficiency in handling medical emergencies. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Additional Requirements:
Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or relevant State Medical Council. Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends.
