Job Summary:
The Professor of General Medicine will provide high-quality teaching, research, and clinical services. The role involves educating medical students, residents, and fellows, conducting research, and offering exceptional patient care. The professor will also participate in departmental and hospital administration and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Education: Develop and deliver lectures, seminars, and clinical teaching sessions. Supervise and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows. Prepare and evaluate examination materials and assignments. Participate in curriculum development and assessment.

Clinical Duties:
Provide comprehensive care to patients in the General Medicine department. Conduct outpatient clinics and inpatient rounds. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure multidisciplinary care.

Research:
Engage in clinical and/or basic research activities. Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals. Apply for and manage research grants. Present research findings at national and international conferences.

Administration:
Participate in departmental meetings and committees. Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies. Assist in the recruitment and training of faculty and staff. Oversee the maintenance of medical records and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
MBBS and MD in General Medicine from a recognized institution. Minimum of 8 to 20 years of experience in teaching and clinical practice. Proven track record in research with publications in reputed journals. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest advancements in medicine.

Preferred Skills:
Experience in developing and implementing medical education programs. Familiarity with modern teaching methods and educational technology. Expertise in managing complex medical cases. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
