Job Summary:
The General Medicine Professor is responsible for providing high-quality education to medical students, residents, and fellows. This role involves teaching, clinical practice, research, and administrative duties. The professor will work closely with other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective learning experiences for students.

Key Responsibilities:


Teaching:
Develop and deliver lectures, seminars, and practical sessions for medical students and residents. Prepare teaching materials, including lecture notes, presentations, and handouts. Conduct assessments, examinations, and evaluations to monitor student progress. Mentor and guide students in their academic and research projects.

Clinical Practice:
Provide patient care in the hospital’s general medicine department. Conduct rounds, outpatient clinics, and inpatient care. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient management. Stay updated with the latest medical advancements and integrate them into clinical practice.

Research:
Initiate and participate in clinical research projects. Publish research findings in peer-reviewed medical journals. Present research at national and international conferences. Secure funding and grants for research activities.

Administrative Duties:
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy-making and curriculum development. Assist in the recruitment and training of junior faculty and staff. Manage departmental resources and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Represent the department in academic and administrative committees.

Professional Development:
Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, courses, and conferences. Stay current with advancements in general medicine and medical education. Contribute to community outreach and public health initiatives.

Qualifications:
Education:
MBBS degree from a recognized institution. MD in General Medicine.

Experience:
Significant experience in clinical practice and teaching in general medicine. Proven track record of research and publications in relevant fields. Experience in hospital administration and management is beneficial.

Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Proficiency in using medical education technologies and electronic health records (EHR). Leadership and team-building capabilities.
