Job Summary:


The General Medicine Physician will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of illnesses and medical conditions. The physician will provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including preventive care, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities
Patient Care:
Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests to diagnose and treat illnesses. Develop treatment plans based on clinical assessment and diagnosis. Prescribe medications and treatments, and monitor patients' responses to treatments. Provide ongoing care for chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare professionals when necessary.

Clinical Duties:
Manage outpatient and inpatient care. Provide pre-operative and post-operative care. Supervise and train junior medical staff and interns. Participate in rounds and case discussions.

Emergency Care:
Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate care. Stabilize patients and coordinate their transfer to specialized care if needed.

Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations. Prepare and submit reports as required.

Patient Education:
Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment plans. Promote preventive healthcare practices.

Qualifications and Skills
Education:
MBBS degree from a recognized institution. MD in General Medicine or equivalent.

Experience:
Previous experience as a General Medicine Physician is preferred. Experience in a hospital setting is advantageous.

Skills:
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team. Compassionate and patient-centered approach. Proficiency in using electronic medical records.

Working Conditions
Hours:
Full-time position with rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Environment:
Hospital setting with exposure to patients with various medical conditions. May involve working in high-stress situations, particularly in emergency care settings.

Additional Requirements
Licensing:
Valid medical license to practice in India.

Certifications:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are often preferred.
