Job Summary:
The General Medicine Physician will provide comprehensive medical care to adult patients, diagnosing and managing a wide range of medical conditions. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient care, focusing on preventive health, diagnosis, treatment, and management of chronic and acute illnesses.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient histories. Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions, both acute and chronic. Prescribe and manage medications, therapies, and treatments. Provide preventive care and health education to patients.

Inpatient Care:
Manage patients admitted to the hospital, including daily rounds and coordinating with other specialists. Monitor and manage patients in critical care settings as required. Perform and interpret diagnostic tests.

Outpatient Care:
Conduct consultations and follow-up visits in outpatient clinics. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.

Collaboration and Coordination:
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, specialists, and support staff. Refer patients to appropriate specialists when necessary. Participate in case discussions and medical conferences.

Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical protocols, and ethical standards. Keep up-to-date with medical advancements and continue professional development.

Education and Training:
Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment plans. Mentor and train junior medical staff and medical students.

Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
MBBS degree from a recognized institution. MD in General Medicine or equivalent postgraduate qualification.

Experience:
Relevant experience in a hospital setting. Experience in both inpatient and outpatient care preferred.

Skills:
Strong diagnostic and clinical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
