Job Summary:
General Medicine doctor will provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of medical conditions. This role involves working closely with other healthcare professionals, participating in clinical teaching, and contributing to the improvement of healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations. Diagnose and manage a variety of medical conditions, both acute and chronic. Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary. Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures.

Clinical Teaching and Mentorship:
Supervise and teach junior residents, interns, and medical students. Participate in departmental rounds, case discussions, and seminars. Provide guidance and mentorship to trainees in clinical and academic activities.

Collaboration and Coordination:
Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and allied health staff. Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and integrated care. Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up care.

Research and Continuous Improvement:
Engage in clinical research and contribute to academic publications. Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department. Stay updated with the latest medical advancements and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.

Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate and complete medical records. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulations. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: MBBS degree followed by MD or DNB in General Medicine. Experience: Completed residency training in General Medicine. Prior experience as a Senior Resident or equivalent is preferred.

Skills:
Strong clinical skills and medical knowledge. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other healthcare technology.

Working Conditions:
Hours: Full-time position with a rotational shift schedule, including night shifts and weekends. Environment: Hospital setting with exposure to various medical conditions and emergencies.
