Job Summary:
The Associate Professor in General Medicine will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and training to medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals. The role involves a combination of academic, clinical, and administrative duties to support the medical college's mission of excellence in education, patient care, and research.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching:
Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical classes in general medicine. Develop and update the curriculum to meet educational standards and advancements in the field. Mentor and guide undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. Supervise clinical training and ensure the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical skills.

Clinical Duties:
Provide clinical care to patients in the affiliated hospital or medical center. Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and other patient care activities. Oversee the clinical work of junior doctors and residents. Ensure high standards of patient care and adherence to clinical guidelines.

Research:
Conduct and supervise research projects in the field of general medicine. Publish research findings in reputable medical journals. Encourage and support students and residents in their research activities. Apply for research grants and funding.

Administration:
Participate in departmental and college meetings. Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies. Assist in the organization of conferences, workshops, and continuing medical education (CME) programs. Engage in quality assurance and accreditation processes.

Professional Development:
Stay updated with the latest developments and best practices in general medicine. Attend and present at national and international conferences. Pursue opportunities for continuous professional growth and development.

Qualifications:
Education:
MBBS and MD/DNB in General Medicine from a recognized institution. Additional fellowship or specialization is desirable.

Experience:
At least 4-8 years of teaching and clinical experience post-MD/DNB. Previous experience as an Assistant Professor is preferred.

Skills:
Strong clinical skills and knowledge in general medicine. Excellent teaching and mentoring abilities. Proficient in conducting research and scholarly activities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

Remuneration:
Salary and benefits will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, as per the medical college's policies and regulations.
