Job Summary:
The Associate Professor in General Medicine is responsible for teaching, research, and clinical duties within the department. This role includes delivering lectures, conducting research, supervising postgraduate and undergraduate students, and providing clinical care in the affiliated hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching:
Conduct and manage undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD/MS) courses. Develop and deliver lectures, practical sessions, and clinical demonstrations. Prepare and update curriculum and teaching materials. Mentor and guide students in academic and clinical settings. Evaluate and assess students' academic and clinical performance.

Clinical Duties:
Provide medical care and consultation in the affiliated teaching hospital. Supervise and guide resident doctors and interns. Participate in clinical rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary team meetings. Ensure high standards of patient care and adhere to clinical protocols and guidelines.

Research:
Conduct and supervise research projects in the field of general medicine. Publish research findings in reputable medical journals. Present research at national and international conferences. Apply for research grants and funding.

Administrative Duties:
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy-making. Assist in the administration and coordination of departmental activities. Participate in faculty development programs and continuous medical education (CME) activities. Collaborate with other departments for interdisciplinary teaching and research.

Other Duties:
Engage in community outreach programs and health camps. Stay updated with the latest advancements in medical science and incorporate them into teaching and clinical practice. Participate in accreditation and quality assurance processes of the medical college.

Qualifications:
Education:
MBBS from a recognized medical college. MD/MS in General Medicine from a recognized institution.

Experience:
A minimum of 5-8 years of teaching and clinical experience in general medicine, with at least 3 years as an Assistant Professor or equivalent.

Skills:
Excellent teaching and communication skills. Proficiency in clinical skills and patient management. Strong research and analytical abilities. Leadership and teamwork capabilities. Familiarity with medical education technologies and simulation techniques.
