Key Responsibilities:
Teaching:
Develop and deliver lectures, seminars, and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Design, implement, and evaluate curriculum and teaching methodologies. Supervise and guide students in clinical settings, including hospital wards and outpatient clinics. Prepare and grade examinations, assignments, and clinical assessments.

Research:
Conduct original research in the field of general medicine. Publish research findings in reputable medical journals. Apply for research grants and manage research projects. Mentor students and junior faculty in research activities.

Clinical Duties:
Provide patient care in affiliated hospitals and clinics. Participate in clinical rounds, case discussions, and interdisciplinary meetings. Supervise residents and interns in clinical practices. Stay updated with the latest advancements in general medicine and apply them in clinical practice.

Administrative Duties:
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of academic policies. Assist in the accreditation processes and ensure compliance with medical education standards. Engage in community outreach programs and health camps organized by the institution. Serve on various committees within the college and the hospital.

Professional Development:
Attend and present at national and international conferences. Participate in continuing medical education (CME) programs. Engage in lifelong learning and professional growth activities.

Qualifications:
Education:
MD or DNB in General Medicine from a recognized institution. Additional qualifications such as a Ph.D. are desirable but not mandatory.

Experience:
At least 4-7 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor or equivalent position. Proven track record of research and publications in peer-reviewed journals. Significant clinical experience in the field of general medicine.

Skills:
Excellent teaching and communication skills. Strong research and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in using educational technology and software.

Work Environment:
The work involves both academic and clinical settings, including classrooms, laboratories, and hospitals. The role may require working extended hours, including evenings and weekends, especially during examinations and research deadlines.
