Job Responsibilities:

Teaching and Training:
Delivering lectures and conducting practical sessions for undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD) students. Supervising and mentoring students in their clinical training and research projects. Preparing and updating the curriculum and course materials in line with the latest medical advancements.

Clinical Duties:
Providing patient care in the hospital associated with the medical college. Leading and managing clinical rounds, case discussions, and medical procedures. Ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.

Research:
Conducting and publishing original research in reputed medical journals. Securing research grants and funding for departmental research projects. Guiding students and junior faculty members in their research endeavors.

Administrative Responsibilities:
Participating in departmental meetings and contributing to the development and implementation of departmental policies. Assisting in the accreditation process and maintaining the standards set by medical education regulatory bodies. Contributing to faculty development programs and continuing medical education (CME) activities.

Community Engagement:
Organizing and participating in health camps, awareness programs, and outreach activities. Collaborating with other departments and institutions for multidisciplinary initiatives.

Qualifications:
Educational Background:
MBBS and MD (or equivalent) in General Medicine from a recognized institution. Additional certifications or qualifications in specialized areas of general medicine are desirable.

Experience:
A minimum of 4-7 years of teaching experience in a recognized medical college, with at least 2-3 years as an Assistant Professor. Demonstrated experience in clinical practice and patient management.

Research and Publications:
A strong record of research and publications in peer-reviewed medical journals. Active participation in national and international conferences and seminars.

Skills and Competencies:
Excellent teaching and communication skills. Proficiency in clinical skills and patient care. Strong leadership and organizational abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Additional Requirements:
Registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or relevant state medical council. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with advancements in general medicine.
