Job Summary:
The Assistant Professor in General Medicine will be responsible for teaching, research, and clinical service in the Department of General Medicine. This role includes delivering lectures, supervising clinical activities, mentoring students, participating in departmental research, and contributing to academic service.

Key Responsibilities:


Teaching:
Deliver lectures and practical classes to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. Develop and update curriculum materials and course outlines. Conduct tutorials, seminars, and workshops. Supervise and evaluate student performance, providing guidance and feedback.

Clinical Duties:
Provide clinical care to patients in the hospital’s general medicine department. Supervise and train residents and interns during their clinical rotations. Participate in clinical rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary team meetings. Ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Research:
Engage in scholarly research activities, including grant writing and publication of research findings. Mentor and guide students and residents in research projects. Participate in departmental and institutional research initiatives.

Administrative Duties:
Contribute to the administration and governance of the department and college. Participate in departmental meetings and committees. Assist in the accreditation and quality assurance processes.

Professional Development:
Stay updated with the latest advancements in general medicine and medical education. Attend and present at national and international conferences and seminars.

Qualifications:
Education:
MBBS from a recognized institution. MD or DNB in General Medicine from a recognized institution.

Experience:
At least 1-4 years of teaching experience in a medical college. Relevant clinical experience in general medicine.

Skills:
Strong teaching and mentoring abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability in clinical research. Proficiency in clinical skills and patient management.

Remuneration:
Salary and benefits will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, as per institutional norms and guidelines.
