Job Summary:
The Assistant Professor of General Medicine is responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, conducting research, and providing clinical care. The position involves contributing to the academic and professional development of students, enhancing the research profile of the department, and delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching: Prepare and deliver lectures, seminars, and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. Develop course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and examinations. Supervise and mentor students during their clinical rotations and research projects. Conduct continuous assessment and provide feedback to students.

Research: Engage in scholarly research activities and publish findings in reputable medical journals. Seek research funding through grants and collaborations. Present research findings at national and international conferences. Supervise and guide student research projects and theses.

Clinical Duties: Provide high-quality patient care in the hospital associated with the medical college. Conduct outpatient clinics, inpatient rounds, and procedures as required. Participate in on-call duties as per the department's schedule. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Administrative Duties: Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development and academic planning. Assist in the organization of departmental activities, such as seminars, workshops, and conferences. Contribute to the accreditation and quality assurance processes of the medical college.

Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements in general medicine and medical education. Participate in professional development programs and continuing medical education (CME) activities. Engage in community outreach programs and health camps organized by the medical college.

Qualifications and Requirements: Education: MD or equivalent degree in General Medicine from a recognized institution. Experience: Minimum of 1-4 years of teaching and clinical experience in general medicine. Certifications: Valid medical registration.

Skills: Strong clinical and diagnostic skills. Excellent teaching and communication abilities. Proficiency in research methodologies and scientific writing. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Desirable: Experience in curriculum development, administration, and student mentorship.

Working Conditions: Full-time position with responsibilities divided between teaching, clinical duties, and research.
