Position Summary:
The Assistant Professor of General Medicine is responsible for teaching, clinical care, and research activities within the Department of General Medicine. The role involves delivering lectures, supervising clinical activities, mentoring students, and contributing to academic research.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:
Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments. Evaluate and grade students’ academic performance.

Clinical Care:
Provide clinical care to patients in the hospital affiliated with the medical college. Supervise and train medical interns, residents, and junior faculty in clinical settings. Participate in clinical rounds, case discussions, and departmental meetings.

Research:
Conduct original research in the field of general medicine. Publish research findings in peer-reviewed medical journals. Secure research funding through grants and collaborations.

Administration:
Assist in departmental administrative tasks as assigned by the HOD. Participate in curriculum development and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Attend faculty meetings, professional development activities, and academic conferences.

Qualifications:
MD or DNB in General Medicine from a recognized institution. Valid medical registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or respective state medical council. Prior teaching experience at a recognized medical college is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:
Strong clinical and teaching skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students. Commitment to academic excellence and continuous learning.
