Key Responsibilities:


Teaching:
Lectures and Tutorials: Deliver lectures and conduct tutorials for undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD) medical students. Clinical Teaching: Supervise and teach students during their clinical rotations in general medicine wards and outpatient departments. Curriculum Development: Participate in the design and development of the curriculum for general medicine courses. Examinations: Set, conduct, and grade examinations, and provide feedback to students.

Research:
Research Projects: Initiate and conduct research in the field of general medicine, including clinical trials and studies. Publications: Publish research findings in peer-reviewed medical journals. Guidance: Supervise and mentor postgraduate students and junior faculty in their research projects and dissertations.

Clinical Duties:
Patient Care: Provide clinical care to patients in the general medicine department, including diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions. Outpatient Clinics: Conduct regular outpatient clinics and follow-up appointments. Inpatient Care: Oversee the care of patients admitted to the hospital under the general medicine department. Emergency Duties: Participate in the on-call rotation for managing medical emergencies.

Administrative Duties:
Departmental Meetings: Attend and contribute to departmental meetings and committees. Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department and the hospital. Continuing Medical Education (CME): Engage in CME activities to stay updated with the latest developments in the field.

Qualifications:
Education: MBBS with MD in General Medicine from a recognized medical college. Experience: Minimum of 1-4 years of teaching and clinical experience post-MD. Registration: Must be registered with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the respective state medical council.

Skills:
Clinical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and managing a wide range of medical conditions. Teaching Skills: Ability to effectively teach and mentor medical students and residents. Research Skills: Competence in designing and conducting research studies. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

Desirable Attributes:
Publications: A strong track record of publications in reputed medical journals. Conferences: Participation in national and international medical conferences.

Salary:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience, as per the norms of the medical college and university.
