Role Overview

Sales Manager – Flexible Packaging is responsible for driving B2B sales growth, managing key customers and leading the complete sales cycle from enquiry to payment. The role requires strong understanding of flexible packaging products, pricing, margins and the ability to coordinate with design, production, quality and logistics to deliver on customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Targets & Revenue
    Achieve monthly and annual sales, margin and collection targets for assigned territory/customers; monitor order pipeline, conversion ratio and hit rate, and take timely actions to fill gaps.
  • New Business Development
    Identify and develop new customers in FMCG, food, personal care, agro and other segments; generate leads, conduct meetings, share samples and convert opportunities into regular business.
  • Key Account Management
    Manage existing key accounts as single point of contact; handle RFQs, price negotiations, annual contracts, forecasts, new project briefs and timely resolution of commercial or service issues.
  • Technical & Commercial Coordination
    Coordinate with internal design, development, production, quality and supply chain teams to finalize structures, specifications, lead times and pricing; ensure on‑time deliveries as per customer schedules.
  • Pricing, Margins & Collections
    Prepare quotes and price workings, ensure approvals as per company policy, protect minimum margins, track receivables, follow up on payments and keep overdues under agreed limits for each customer.
  • Market Intelligence & Reporting
    Track competitor activities, price trends, new materials and customer movements; share periodic MIS on sales performance, forecasts, lost orders and customer feedback with management.

Candidate Profile

  • Educational Qualification
    Graduate in Engineering (Packaging/Mechanical/Chemical/Printing) or Science, with MBA/PGDM in Marketing or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience Required
    5–10 years experience in B2B sales of flexible packaging, plastic films, laminates, labels, corrugated or related packaging products; strong network with FMCG/food/consumer brands is an added advantage.
  • Technical & Commercial Skills
    Understanding of packaging structures, printing and lamination basics, costing elements (materials, conversion, freight), contract terms, taxation and basic profitability calculations for each account.
  • Soft Skills
    Strong communication and negotiation skills, relationship building, result orientation, ability to travel, good presentation and reporting skills and comfort using CRM/Excel/ERP tools for daily work.
  • Work Conditions
    Field‑oriented role based out of Noida plant with frequent customer visits; occasional travel to other regions; own two‑wheeler/4‑wheeler preferred; candidates from Noida/Bengaluru region preferred.
