Role Overview

Sales Executive – Flexible Packaging is responsible for day‑to‑day B2B sales activities such as lead generation, customer visits, enquiry handling, quotation follow‑up, order booking and payment follow‑up. The role supports the Sales Manager and works closely with customers and internal teams to grow business in flexible packaging rolls, laminates and pouches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting
    Identify potential customers through calls, online research, references and market visits; create and update a database of prospects in FMCG, food, agro and industrial segments.
  • Customer Visits & Enquiries
    Schedule and conduct regular customer meetings, understand packaging requirements, collect technical and commercial details and share enquiries with internal teams for costing and feasibility.
  • Quotations & Follow‑up
    Prepare and submit quotations as per company policy, explain offers to customers, track status of each quote and convert approved offers into orders within agreed timelines.
  • Order Booking & Coordination
    Raise sales orders in ERP, ensure all approvals and artwork/structure details are available, coordinate with planning, production and dispatch teams for on‑time delivery to customers.
  • Collections & Customer Service
    Monitor payment due dates, follow up for collections, support resolution of quality or delivery issues by coordinating with QA and logistics and maintain positive long‑term relationships with customers.
  • Reporting & Market Feedback
    Update daily call reports, visit reports and enquiry/order status in Excel/CRM; share market intelligence on competitor pricing, new products and customer feedback with the Sales Manager.

Candidate Profile

  • Educational Qualification
    Any Graduate (Science/Commerce/Engineering) or Diploma; candidates with MBA/PGDM in Marketing or knowledge of packaging will be preferred.
  • Experience Required
    2–5 years experience in B2B sales, preferably in flexible packaging, plastic products, printing or industrial consumables; strong interest to grow in packaging industry is essential for fresher‑plus profiles.
  • Skills & Competencies
    Good communication in English and local language, confidence in client meetings and calls, basic understanding of pricing, margins and taxes, and ability to work with targets and deadlines.
  • Computer Skills
    Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, email and preferably any CRM/ERP system for enquiry and order tracking; ability to prepare simple reports and presentations when required.
  • Work Conditions
    Field and office based role with frequent customer visits around Noida/Bengaluru region; two‑wheeler mandatory, willingness to travel and work beyond normal hours when required for customer visits.
