About the Die-cutter Operator Role
Die-cutter Operator runs flatbed (Bobst) and rotary die cutting machines to cut printed sheets into carton blanks, trays and corrugated boxes.
Responsible for die mounting, sheet feeding, waste stripping setup, quality inspection and production targets during 12-hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities

Die Mounting & Machine Setup
Mount cutting dies (150-300 kg), set stripper boards, install blankers, adjust feeder guides and register printed sheets for accurate cutting.

Sheet Feeding & Pile Management
Load printed sheets (120-400 GSM), set feeder speed (4,000-8,000 sheets/hour), ensure proper sheet separation and pile delivery stacking.

Cutting Quality Control
Check cut registration (±0.2mm tolerance), inspect die cut lines, score lines, waste ejection every 500 sheets, maintain <1% rejection rate.

Waste Stripping & Maintenance
Monitor stripper pins effectiveness, clear waste jams, sharpen cutting rules periodically, lubricate machine components for smooth operation.

Production Targets
Achieve daily targets (50,000-1,50,000 cartons), complete job changeovers within 45 minutes, minimize makeready waste <0.5% of total production.
Candidate Requirements

Education
ITI / Diploma in Printing/Packaging Technology or 10th/12th pass with die cutting experience.

Experience
1–4 years operating flatbed (Bobst) or rotary die cutting machines in carton/corrugated packaging industry.

Skills
Die mounting, sheet feeding, waste stripping setup, cutting quality inspection, basic machine maintenance.

Other Requirements
12-hour rotational shifts, physically strong (lifting 20-30kg dies), good hand-eye coordination, immediately joinable.
